This is an ugly prototype and that is on purpose. Coloured rectangles, no
art, no sound. I need to know whether one specific thing works before any of
that gets built.

You are a sin eater. When someone in the valley can no longer carry what they
have done, they come to your gate and you take it into your body.

Curses are the only source of power in the game. Every sin you swallow makes
you stronger and makes you worse, and you have nine slots to put them in. The
question is never is this good — it is where do I put the damage.

  • Nine slots, in a body. Eyes, Head, Voice, Hands, Heart, Gut, Feet, Shadow.
  • Adjacency matters. Rot spreads. Wrath and Apathy annihilate each other.
Secrecy next to Sorrow doubles both burdens.
  • Twelve rounds, 12–15 minutes, and the Trials get harder faster than you
    can safely absorb.
  • Refusing is allowed, three times, and the third one comes back for you

When the three petitions appear — do you hesitate?

If you can tell instantly which one to take, the design has failed and I need
to know now. If you sit there muttering and change your mind halfway through
placing it, that is the game working.

Also useful:

  • When you failed a Trial, could you explain why?
  • Did you ever take more than one sin in a round?
  • Anything you expected to happen that didn't.

Press C at any time to copy a bug report — seed, board state and the last
twelve log lines. Paste it into a comment with anything that looked wrong. The
seed makes it reproducible exactly.

Hover everything. Tags, slots, Weight, Grudge — all of it explains itself.

Controls: mouse for everything. R new run, C copy report.
